Physician Moms Group and Resolve Physician Agency Announce Partnership

COLUMBIA, Mo., Nov. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Resolve Physician Agency (Resolve) and Physician Moms Group (PMG) are announcing a partnership to empower women physicians as they negotiate employment terms. The two organizations will begin actively integrating their services this week.

This partnership will streamline the contract review process for PMG members who are looking for female-friendly contract terms which are often lacking. A 2017 report by Doximity found that female physicians earn $91,264 less per year than what the average male physician earns.  A research letter from JAMA found that 1/3 of female physicians report maternal discrimination, including inadequate maternity leave. Resolve will be offering discounted rates for contract review and compensation review packages specifically for PMG members in an effort to reduce the wage gap and discrimination one contract at a time.

"This is an exciting opportunity for us to enhance our members' employment terms and give them actionable career advice from a firm that values gender equity and the physician community," said Dr. Hala Sabry, founder of PMG and Emergency Medicine Physician.

Dr. Sidney Christiansen, founder of Resolve and Otolaryngologist, said: "We are happy to be working with PMG to amplify our mission to be physician advocates for those seeking professional career guidance."
