The Government of Canada congratulates Peerless Trout First Nation on new administration office grand opening

OTTAWA, Nov. 20, 2017 /CNW/ - Today, the Honourable Jane Philpott, Minister of Indigenous Services, congratulated Peerless Trout First Nation on the completed construction of a new, state-of-the-art administration office. This facility uses the latest energy saving and heating technologies as well as the latest innovations in security and modern, open design.

The construction of the administration building was funded through a trust established under the land claim settlement in 2010 between Bigstone First Nation and the governments of Canada and Alberta. The settlement committed the establishment of the Peerless Trout First Nation as well as the federal government's investment of $15 million into the trust. Peerless Trout First Nation has been able to fund numerous other infrastructure projects through this trust to continue improvements for their community.
