Servus Credit Union announces unique partnership with University of Alberta Faculty of Science
EDMONTON, Alberta, Nov. 20, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Servus Credit Union announces the creation of a new partnership and research collaboration with the University of Alberta Faculty of Science, the first of its kind for an Alberta-based financial institution. Under the agreement, Servus Credit Union will provide nearly $1.6 million in funding over five years to support research projects in data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing and related areas. It will include joint research projects, the creation of a new industrial research chair, opportunities for graduate student research applied to real-world financial challenges, and professional development for Servus employees.
