Cubcoats Launches 2-in-1 Kids Hoodie

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- CUBCOATS, a Los Angeles-based startup co-founded by Zac Park, launched today with a line of soft, zip-up hooded sweatshirts that use a proprietary method to convert the hoodies into cuddly stuffed animals. Initially, eight different animals will be featured for children ranging from 2-5 years old.

"Our mission is to make parents' lives a little easier, kids' lives a little happier and leave a lasting, positive social impact. After several exciting stints in e-commerce, I set out to find something uniquely innovative, but I never expected that I would stumble into the children's apparel and plush toy spaces. However, after studying e-commerce consumer product data, I kept coming across these two attractive markets. I have seen many great companies combine different utilities into one product and I thought to myself, 'why can't we do the same with these two markets?'. We made our first make-shift prototype by sewing a panda pattern into the inside of a generic hoodie. I'll never forget sharing this first iteration with my co-founder's kids and the excitement in their eyes when we showed them the transformation from hoodie to stuffed animal. From there, we filed multiple patents and assembled an amazing team.  We're very excited about the future, dual and multiple-use children's products in our pipeline," said Zac Park.

Cubcoats is not only trying to define a new product category but is also dedicated to creating an educational product experience that identifies and reinforces positive values in children. The purchase of a Cubcoat includes an interactive, illustrated map of 'Cubcoat Island'.  This map introduces a story for each Cubcoat animal and their inspiring and educational adventure together. The magic of the Cubcoats adventures only gets more exciting in the educational e-book series that Cubcoats will share for free on its website.  Cubcoats wants to make a real difference in a very personal way, so with every purchase Cubcoats commits to giving back by directly organizing, participating in and supporting local causes who help children in need worldwide.

Cubcoats are made from extra soft, snuggly, machine washable fleece offered now in eight variations including a Bear, Fox, Panda, Bunny, Puppy, Tiger, Whale and Kitty.

Cubcoats 2-in-1 hoodies are available direct-to-consumer online for only $59. For more information, visit www.cubcoats.com.
