Vitamin Angels Sets Goal to Reach 200,000 Children with Lifesaving Vitamins Starting on #GivingTuesday


SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Nov. 17, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Vitamin Angels, a 501(c)3 public charity who helps malnourished mothers and children get life-saving vitamins, is kicking off its year-end campaign on #GivingTuesday ? Tuesday, November 28 ? with the goal of reaching 200,000 children through funds raised. Their cost to give a child enough life-saving vitamins for a whole year is just 25 cents. Donors will see their funds go even farther as all donations will be matched up to $25,000 thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor. The campaign will run from November 28 through December 31.

In 2017, Vitamin Angels is working to serve 60 million children and mothers in 66 countries around the world.

#GivingTuesday, now in its sixth year, is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Already boasting $177 million raised across all participants this year, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
