Kids Mobility Network Provides Over $5 Million Of Wheelchairs To Children With Disabilities

DENVER, Nov. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Kids Mobility Network, Inc. today announced that the Organization has provided over $5 million of community benefit to children with disabilities.  The Colorado-based non-profit organization has been providing durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers and other medical equipment to children with disabilities since 2006.  It's the only non-profit of its type to provide equipment and seating services by licensed professionals that are necessary to ensure proper fit to maximize safety, mobility and independence.

Equipment provided by Kids Mobility Network includes manual and power wheelchairs, walkers, gait trainers, standers, activity chairs, adaptive bikes and a host of other pieces of equipment that help children to safely access their communities and better interact with their peers during their important development years.  "The purpose of durable medical equipment is so far beyond mobility.  It's about allowing these kids to be doers, not observers.  This peer interaction provides enhanced development of interpersonal skills and self confidence ? something that is critical to every child's development," added Kopp.

Kids Mobility Network continues to expand due to increasing needs for the services provided by the Organization.  Medical insurance and Medicaid often do not cover the complete need for durable medical equipment, so the services provided by Kids Mobility Network are needed now more than ever.  "Our greatest challenge to date has been attaining adequate financial resources to hire the necessary staff to meet the growing demand for our services," stated Kopp.  "We're actively seeking corporate sponsors and donors and invite donors to help us build up Kids Mobility Network to serve the many children that require our services.  We believe that no child should go without the appropriate equipment, but it's getting harder to meet growing demand."
