#HealingTheWounds Bipartisan effort launched to mentor children of fallen military, law enforcement

NEW YORK, Nov. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- #HealingtheWounds, a non-profit founded to benefit and mentor the children of our Nation's fallen heroes in law-enforcement and military announced its launch today.  #HealingTheWounds will provide long-term, ongoing mentoring and support to these children, via programs which will give them opportunities to  participate in an Alaskan adventure and learning experience, provide them with a 24 hour support call center, give them access to a vast custom video learning library and explore potential career paths.

#HealingtheWounds believes the Nation shares a moral obligation to honor America's fallen heroes ? by mentoring their children. Grieving families should be comforted in knowing that their children will be provided for with opportunities to blossom, excel and prosper. Healing the Wounds was founded with that goal in mind and it takes the responsibility seriously.

"Our mission has clearly evolved from mentoring a critical segment of America's youth to empowering them to become successful and responsible citizens.  Healing the Wounds will help fill the void which is critical to a child's development.  While so much of society is laser-focused on what is wrong, we are taking a positive approach by focusing on the possible - by equipping the teenagers with the skills, attitudes, habits and behaviors that will ensure their success.  We are projecting our organization as a solutions-based initiative designed to build character, self-confidence and leadership skills with the end goal of helping to cultivate the next generation of responsible, confident and environmentally-conscious citizens.

It has clearly become the responsibility of WE THE PEOPLE to revitalize our national spirit, mend our divisions and send a clear message of solidarity to Washington - one that set the standard for future generations to follow. It's about the kids." says Jeff M. Epstein, Founder and President.

#HealingtheWounds is comprised of a high profile advisory board including the following:

General Thomas G. McInerney; Lieutenant General (Ret.) William G. Boykin; John Ellis O'Neill; Colonel Ken Cordier, USAF (Ret); David Schippers; Capt. Mykel Hawke Retired U.S. Army Special Forces-Green Berets, recent star of Discovery Channels 'Man Woman Wild'; Rep. Clay Higgins, (R-LA) and Chief of Police, James Craig, Detroit.
