Dr. Ralph Dartey tackles the stigma of mental illness with the launch of his first book,"Fighting Discouragement"

OTTAWA, Nov. 15, 2017 /CNW/ - After 17 years of research, Dr. Ralph Dartey is ready to release his first book "Fighting Discouragement". The launch will take place, by special invitation, on Friday, November 17th at 6:00 pm at Parliament Hill.

Immediately following the official release is a book launch & signing gala (open to the public) which will take place from 7:00-8:20 pm at the nearby Fairmont Le Chateau.

Pastor Dartey is passionate about changing the stigma associated with mental illness. Mental illness is a disease that carries with it significant social stigma and misunderstanding. It does not discriminate regardless of age or socio-economic status. Addressing the social challenges of living with mental illness, Pastor Ralph's book is filled with powerful insights and inspiring stories of hope for those individuals and their families who suffer from this disease. The book release comes at a time when the media is acutely focused on mental illness, its repercussions on families, and its impact within the workplace.
