Hattiesburg Toyota dealership shows support of local veterans with sponsorship of annual golf outing

HATTIESBURG, Miss., Nov. 9, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Veterans are an important part of the Hattiesburg community. With Veterans Day on the horizon, it is important to find ways to support local veterans. Toyota of Hattiesburg, a local Toyota dealership, makes local veterans a priority and holds them in the highest regard. The dealership shared its support this past month with its sponsorship of the Marine Corps League detachment and the 16th Annual Jack Lucas Memorial Golf Tournament.

Hosted on October 23 at Canebrake Country Club in Hattiesburg, this charity event helped raise funds for several programs that include Marine Corps League scholarships, Honor Flights, assistance for hospitalized veterans, veteran memorial services and honor guards as well as aid for returning veterans and their families. Each four-person team played 18 holes at the local country club with the top three teams receiving prizes in addition to prizes for the longest putt, longest drive and more.

Toyota of Hattiesburg continues its support of veterans throughout the year with a Toyota Military Rebate Program that is available to United States military personnel, families of service members, military retirees within a year of retirement, military veterans within a year of discharge and Gold Star families. Service members who qualify are eligible for a $500 rebate toward Toyota favorites available at the Hattiesburg dealership.

Local veterans and their families who would like to learn more about Toyota military incentives available at Toyota of Hattiesburg or the dealership's involvement in local charities like the Jack Lucas Memorial Golf Outing can visit the dealership website, www.toyotahattiesburg.com. Those interested in a more personal interaction can contact a dealership representative by calling 601-544-9630.
