PA Lottery Scratch-Offs Winners Claim Over $159 Million in October
MIDDLETOWN, Pa., Nov. 3, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Pennsylvania Lottery Scratch-Offs winners claimed $159,044,618 in prizes during October, including three top prizes of $1 million.
Alston Mini Mart, 2516 Monroeville Boulevard, Monroeville, Allegheny County and Wawa, 6800 Rising Sun Ave., Philadelphia, each sold a winning $1 Million Pennsylvania Payout ticket worth $1 million. In addition, a winning $1,000,000 Silver & Gold ticket worth $1 million was sold by Rite Aid, 429 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, Cumberland County.
Other sizable scratch-offs prizes claimed during the month included:
- Nine prizes of $300,000 (various counties);
- One $250,000 prize (Delaware County); and
- Eighteen prizes of $100,000 (various counties).
Winner lists for all games are posted each month in the Winners section of palottery.com. The lists include all winners of $1,000 or more, although many prizes below that amount were won.
Scratch-Offs currently offer prizes ranging from a free ticket to $3 million. Before playing any game, players should read and understand the rules, prizes remaining and specific chances of winning found at palottery.com. Check tickets promptly and immediately claim winnings. Prizes expire one year from a Scratch-Off game's end-sale date posted at palottery.com.
The overall chances of winning any prize, printed on the back of each ticket, are stated across all tickets produced in a game and not by consecutive tickets sold per pack. Random distribution ensures the Pennsylvania Lottery and retailers do not know where winning tickets will be sold.
