Statement from the Office of the Minister of Veterans Affairs Canada


OTTAWA, Nov 2, 2017 /CNW/ - Seamus O'Regan, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, underwent emergency surgery yesterday in Ottawa for a sudden and serious, but non-life-threatening medical issue.

Minister O'Regan is expected to make a full recovery, but will be away from the House of Commons for several days. At this time he anticipates being in Ottawa to participate in the National Remembrance Day Ceremony on November 11th.
