Lingotek's New Translation Management System Release Includes Several Features to Enhance UI and Streamline Project Management
Convenient, easy-to-use universal app bar, task batching and navigation pane
LEHI, Utah, Nov. 02, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Lingotek | The Translation Network today announced a new release of its Translation Management System (TMS). Version 12.23.0 updates the User Interface (UI) to give users more room to work in the TMS, improves navigation, and provides quick access to all of the user's Lingotek applications directly from the TMS. The UI has been designed specifically to provide a consistent user experience across all of Lingotek's apps, while also keeping the navigation intuitive and familiar to users accustomed to the old UI. Lingotek TMS 12.23.0 contains a new app bar, a job metadata field for documents, a locale column for Translation Memories (TM), and a new side bar for navigating within the app.

The new app bar eliminates the need to log into multiple apps across several tabs in the browser. The new UI gives professional linguists and translation project managers simple, easy-to-use access to apps to simplify and expedite project management.
The job metadata field provides greater flexibility when organizing tasks and documents, allowing the user to:
- Group documents by job.
- Link multiple documents to a single job.
- Filter documents and tasks by job.
- Take bulk actions on documents/tasks that share a job.
A new locale column has been added to the TM units search results. This makes it easier to find and edit the desired TM unit (i.e. users no longer have to click on the Details link to see the locale).
The new sidebar in TMS replaces the previous top navigation. From the sidebar, users can access tasks, documents, and all the other features they use in the TMS. The sidebar can be collapsed to provide more room for the user to work. It also remembers your preference, such as collapsed or expanded views.
