MicroTech Wins Ten Year, $5B Veterans Technology Services 2 (VETS 2) Governmentwide Contract Vehicle

TYSONS CORNER, Va., Oct. 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- General Services Administration (GSA) announced on Thursday October 26, 2017, MicroTechnologies, LLC (MicroTech) was selected as one of 70 firms awarded a position on the VETS 2 Governmentwide Acquisition Contract (GWAC). VETS 2 is a ten-year, multiple award GWAC set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran- Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms and has a $5B ceiling.

The VETS 2 GWAC provides federal agencies the ability to quickly and efficiently satisfy a broad range of IT services and service-based solutions requirements. The award also provides unique opportunities to allow current and potential customers' access to MicroTech in a way that also supports federal agency's access to a quick and agile GWAC vehicle that supports SDVOSBs.

MicroTech, a Certified and Verified SDVOSB provider of Telecommunications and Cyber Security Solutions, Cloud Computing, Technology Solutions, and Professional Services, has been on an incredible win streak since downsizing and reorganizing as a Small Business.  This is the fourth multi-billion-dollar GWAC/IDIQ MicroTech has won in the last six months.  In May, MicroTech announced it was awarded a spot on the $37 billion Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services (RS3) contract with the United States Army, then in June the GSA awarded MicroTech a spot on the $50 billion, 15-year, Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) contract, and just last month MicroTech announced it had been awarded a $3B Department of Interior Field Communications (DOI FC) contract.

"As a Service-Disabled Veteran, I am especially pleased that MicroTech was selected by the GSA as a provider under this important and very prestigious contract vehicle," says Tony Jimenez, Founder, President and CEO of MicroTech. "I am equally pleased that the Small Business Administration once again determined that MicroTech was eligible for this award as a small business."

"Winning a VETS 2 contract, along with the award of DOI FC, Army RS3 and GSA EIS, was a key part of our plan to position MicroTech for the next stage of our growth as a Small Business," Mr. Jimenez added. "Now with almost 100 billion dollars of new MACs, IDIQs & GWACs, and the ability to provide the government with emerging technology and state of the art solutions, our future and the future of the those who have partnered with MicroTech looks incredibly bright. This is an exciting time to be at MicroTech and we are looking forward to being part of the innovation and convergence in government technology."

MicroTech now holds 26 multiple-award type contracts with dozens of Federal State and Local Government Agencies through which MicroTech provides a broad range of innovative technologies and state of the art Professional Services and Solutions.

About MicroTech: MicroTech, a Certified and Verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certified by the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), has had noteworthy success since its inception in 2004. Under Tony Jimenez's leadership, the privately-owned company has experienced exponential growth and is repeatedly recognized as a business success story by the Veteran, Small Business and Hispanic Communities.  Described as the "hottest Hispanic business in the nation," MicroTech was ranked as the #1 Fastest Growing Hispanic Company in the Nation for three consecutive years by Hispanic Business Magazine and has been repeatedly listed on Washington Technology's annual list of the Top 100 Government Contractors.
