Nominate a U.S. Patent Holder for National Inventors Hall of Fame Class of 2019


ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Inventors Hall of Fame®, in partnership with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), is accepting nominations for its 2019 Class of Inductees. Nominees must hold a U.S. patent for an invention that has contributed to the progress of science and the useful arts, as well as our nation's welfare.

WHEN: Nominations for the 2019 Class end March 31, 2018.

ETC.: Anyone has the power to nominate a potential National Inventors Hall of Fame Inductee. Ideal candidates embody stories of perseverance and passion that will inspire the next generation of American innovators.

Historical Inductees in the National Inventors Hall of Fame include innovation luminaries such as Thomas Edison, Alfred Nobel, George Washington Carver and Walt Disney. Recent Inductees include Steve Sasson (digital camera), Art Fry and Spencer Silver (Post-it® Notes), Stephanie Kwolek (Kevlar® fiber), and Jaap Haartsen (Bluetooth® wireless technology).
