Bill 148, Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs Act, 2017
TORONTO, Oct. 26, 2017 /CNW/ - The Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs will meet to consider Bill 148, An Act to amend the Employment Standards Act, 2000 and the Labour Relations Act, 1995 and to make related amendments to other Acts.
The Committee intends to hold public hearings in Toronto on Monday, October 30, 2017; Tuesday, October 31, 2017; and Thursday, November 2, 2017.
Interested people who wish to be considered to make an oral presentation on Bill 148 on Monday, October 30, 2017 or Tuesday, October 31, 2017 should provide their contact name, mailing address, phone number, and email address to the Clerk of the Committee by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017.
Interested people who wish to be considered to make an oral presentation on Bill 148 on Thursday, November 2, 2017 should provide their contact name, mailing address, phone number, and email address to the Clerk of the Committee by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2017.
Those who do not wish to make an oral presentation but wish to comment on the Bill may send a written submission to the Clerk of the Committee at the address below by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2017.
