WHAT:

Launch Ceremony of Canada's first-of-its-kind parenting community hub dedicated to helping new parents and immigrant parents.




A newly formed national not-for-profit organization ParentConnecttm will be officially launched at the Parenting Expotm. ParentConnect is a one-stop hub aims to equip new and immigrant parents with the knowledge and resources to nurture their children to their fullest potential and create a better future society through the power of positive parenting.




Parenting Expotm is a unique community event aiming to provide immigrant parents and parents-to-be with a convenient one-stop place to explore and benefit from resources available from the public and private organizations. The York Region Public Health, York Regional Police, City of Markham, and IKEA are among the 40 exhibitors and 20 expert speakers on topics ranging from child safety and CPR, health and nutrition, education and recreation, child psychology, stress handling, etc.  Parenting Expotm is expecting thousands of families from the York Region and the vicinity to visit the 2-day event to learn the latest trends, techniques, and innovations in parenting, meet health and education experts face-to-face, and engage their children in fun-filled activities.  Also on Sunday at 11:45 am, two families will be sharing their parenting success stories on stage.  Full schedule at www.ParentingExpo.ca.
