Stoller Award for the best surgical resident at Beth Israel Medical Center, he earned the 1999 New York Medical College Resident Teaching Award. The following year, Dr. Yung received the John Orlando Roe Award for Best Clinical Research in Facial Plastic Surgery by a Fellow. Most recently, Dr. Yung was honored with the 2016 Top Doctor Award.

Dr. Yung earned his Medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons following his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Johns Hopkins University. He served his otolaryngology residency at The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary, followed by a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Buckhead Facial Plastic Surgery in Atlanta, GA.
