Fourth Annual Women's Leadership Counts Conference Addresses Generational Diversity


LOS ANGELES, Oct. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The fourth annual Women's Leadership Counts Conference will focus on the theme, "Talent Innovation ? Going Beyond Unconscious Bias to Lead Generational Diversity," and will feature six expert speakers who will share how effective leaders are managing their talent across generations. It will take place at the InterContinental Los Angeles Century City at Beverly Hills, 2151 Avenue of the Stars, Los Angeles, Calif., on Thursday, November 2, 2017.  The conference is presented by the Japan America Society of Southern California and several corporate sponsors, including presenting partner, Global Organization for Leadership and Diversity, and conference sponsors, Aratani Foundation, InterContinental Los Angeles Century City at Beverly Hills, MUFG Union Bank, Sanders Charitable Fund, Southern California Gas and Toyota.

"Companies today have workforces that can include up to five different generations," says Hiroko Tatebe, chair of the Women's Leadership Counts Conference. "We feel it is a critical time to share how successful leaders maximize the talents of these very different generations."

Conference keynote speakers are Kay Iwata, founder and president, K. Iwata Associates, Inc. and Rachel Moore, president and CEO, The Music Center. The conference panel discussion will include Bonnie Boswell, award-winning reporter, producer, and talk show host, Lori Nickel, vice president, Inclusion & Diversity Group, MUFG America, and Adriana Romero, solutions marketing manager, Industrial Internet of Things, Hitachi Insight Group. The panel will be moderated by Renee White Fraser, Ph.D., founder and CEO, Fraser Communications.

The conference also features interactive table discussions to facilitate sharing of best practices, as well as and a networking reception to provide opportunities to connect with the speakers and attendees from a broad range of industries. Proceeds will benefit the Japan America Society of Southern California, a nonprofit membership organization established to build meaningful relationships between Japanese and Americans.
