Media briefing on Calgary's Amazon HQ2 submission


CALGARY, Oct. 18, 2017 /CNW/ - In response to inquiries, Calgary Economic Development will host a media briefing at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 19, to discuss Calgary's submission to be the location of Amazon's second headquarters (HQ2).

The briefing will provide high-level insights into key elements of Calgary's bid, the strong community support for our submission and the marketing campaign to be the location for HQ2. Members of the executive committee overseeing the bid will attend the briefing, including; Mary Moran, President & CEO, Calgary Economic Development, and Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi.

Calgary's submission was developed in response to the Request for Proposals (RFP) from Amazon and focused on our city's exceptional talent, turn-key real estate solutions, low cost of doing business and extraordinary quality of life.

Copies of the submission will not be available to media as we can not to disclose any commercially sensitive information.
