BDC Advisors' Bill Eggbeer to Lead Expert Panel at Cleveland Clinic's First Advanced Payment Summit on "Innovation Driving Value: The Intersection of Public Program and Private Partnership Initiatives."

MIAMI, Oct. 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- BDC announced today that Managing Director Bill Eggbeer, MBA, has been invited to be the moderator for a panel on "Innovation Driving Value: The Intersection of Public Programs and Private Partnership Initiatives" this October 24th at the Cleveland Clinic's 2017 Advanced Payment Summit as part of the Clinic's annual Medical Innovation Summit at the Huntington Conference Center in Cleveland.

Eggbeer, who heads BDC's Payer-Provider Innovation Practice, will be joined on the panel by BDC Managing Director Rick Weil, PhD, an expert in value-based population health strategy; Kevin Sears, Cleveland Clinic's Executive Director of Market and Network Services; and Jack Towsley, President of Fluent Health, a health plan service entity which is a subsidiary of Presbyterian Health Services in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Eggbeer and Weil's panel will demonstrate how, in many ways, public programs are leading the drive to value in the healthcare market: the adoption of managed care models in state Medicaid Programs; the extension of value-focused population health and episode-of-care programs in Medicare; and the role of public exchanges in bringing value-based competition to the individual market place. The session will spotlight a number of innovative private sector partnerships between delivery systems and health plans including the Cleveland Clinic Oscar Health partnership, the Clinic's first entrée into the individual market with a product bearing its own name.

Rick Wesslund, BDC Advisors Founder and Chairman, commented: "We are very excited about being part of to the Cleveland Clinic's first Advanced Payment Summit. BDC has deep experience in assisting health systems across the nation on new approaches to value-based contracting. We are honored to be able to share our experience with organizations who are making the transition to value and innovating in a risk-based market."
