Blackboard Receives Multiple Honors in Annual Readers' Choice Awards from Campus Technology


WASHINGTON, Oct. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Blackboard Inc., a leading education technology company for teaching, learning and student engagement, was named a winner in multiple categories of the 2017 Campus Technology Readers' Choice Awards.

For the third year in a row, Campus Technology readers selected Blackboard Learn as the first place winner in the "LMS & E-Learning Platforms" category. Blackboard Learn is the company's flagship learning management system (LMS) that provides the technology foundation for online learning programs. The LMS also received top honors in the "E-Portfolio" and "Lecture Capture" categories. In addition, Blackboard was voted as one of the Top 10 overall favorite technologies currently being used by higher education professionals.

The Blackboard Collaborate web conferencing solution was recognized in the "Virtual Classroom/Meeting Software" category, while Blackboard Predict and Blackboard Mass Notifications also received awards in the "Student Success/Retention" and "Emergency Notification Services" categories, respectively.

More than 600 higher education administrators, faculty, IT staff and AV specialists voted on Campus Technology's Readers' Choice Awards. The program honors the most outstanding higher education products and services in a variety of technology categories.

In T.H.E. Journal's annual Readers' Choice Awards, which are focused on K-12 educational technology, Blackboard Learn also received top honors in the E-Portfolios category.
