Boston Winter Holiday Market Offers Local Charities Free Spot at This Year's Event

NEWTON, Mass., Oct. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The producer of the Boston Winter Holiday Market said today it plans to offer up to five charities a spot along with local vendors and artists who market their crafts and gifts at Boston's newest holiday tradition.

Millennial Entertainment Group, which owns and organizes the popular Boston Winter Holiday Market, says it expects to greatly expand the number of visitors to the European-style open-air festival that began last year as well as increase the number of vendors.

"We have already doubled the number of vendors and leased out almost all our added retail chalets," said Millennial Entertainment Group CEO Lena Romanova. "And this year we're dedicating one chalet to be used on rotational basis by as many as five charities."

Millennial is asking for nominations from the public for charities than can use the exhibit space during the Boston Winter Village which runs from Nov. 24, through the end of 2017.

The five-week long event features a line-up of local retailers and makers selling handcrafted and distinctive gift items and delicious food, and a dazzling array of winter attractions. Last year, the event generated more than $1.6 million in sales for vendors, with average sales of $37,600 per vendor. This year, Millennial expects to invest another $600,000 into the event and attract more than 700,000 people. Admission to Boston Winter Holiday Market is free to the public.
