This conference offers an opportunity to learn best practices protocols in the industry and network with biosafety and biosecurity professionals from all over the world. The three-day intensive course load includes presentations on a variety of topics including facing the next pandemic, compliance and regulatory issues, international biosafety and decontamination technologies. One highlighted speaker of decontamination methods is Miguel Grimaldo, Assistant Professor for the Department of Pathology, Director of Institutional Biocontainment Resources at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) and the Director of the Biocontainment Engineering Division for the Galveston National Laboratory. His speaking topics address biocontainment in laboratory operations and facility biosafety. Specifically, in one of his panel discussions, Grimaldo will review Decontamination with Cold Plasma Activated Ionized Hydrogen Peroxide.
