Long Island Company, SupplyHouse.com, Gives Back to Women in Need

MELVILLE, N.Y., Oct. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- SupplyHouse.com, an e-commerce company that sells plumbing, heating, and HVAC supplies is teaming up with SCO Family of Services; a not-for-profit social services agency that serves more than 55,000 of New York's most vulnerable residents. For SupplyHouse.com's 6^th consecutive year, 52 employees will be volunteering for the Madonna Heights program which focuses on healing women from trauma. Employees will be volunteering their time to take on projects that spruce up the grounds on October 21^st from 10AM ? 2PM at the Dix Hills campus.

"We plant, paint, power wash, etc. filling any need that the buildings and beautiful grounds may have!"  SupplyHouse.com employees have signed up to take on several projects around the Dix Hills Campus. Such projects include: painting the gymnasium, power washing buildings, packing and moving the Madonna Heights donation center, and more!

According to the SCO Family of Services website, "SCO helps vulnerable New Yorkers build a strong foundation for the future. We [SCO] get young children off to a good start, launch youth into adulthood, stabilize and strengthen families and unlock potential for children and adults with special needs." The Madonna Heights program specifically works with women in providing them with 24-hour care focusing on their physical, emotional, and social needs. This is achieved through their group residence program, treatment facility, schooling, family service clinic, homeless services and other programs.
