Senator Warner (D-VA) is the lead sponsor of the Safe DRONE Act of 2017, designed to advance the development of UAS and build on FAA efforts to safely integrate them into the national airspace. Virginia is also home to one of the six FAA UAS test sites conducting research to support these efforts.
