Gretchen Carlson and The All In Together Campaign Launch National Women's Civic Leadership Initiative

NEW YORK, Oct. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, the All In Together Campaign (AIT), a non-partisan women's civic leadership organization (501c3), announced the Gretchen Carlson Leadership Initiative (GCLI) in partnership with acclaimed journalist and female empowerment advocate Gretchen Carlson and her Gift of Courage Fund. The yearlong national program will bring civic leadership and advocacy training to thousands of underserved women across the country, with a focus on empowering women who have experienced gender-based violence, discrimination or harassment.

"AIT has developed unique and effective programming to empower women with tools and resources to stand up and speak up to make a difference. It's exactly the kind of work I envisioned supporting when I started my Gift of Courage Fund. Issues of workplace harassment, domestic violence, and sexual assault have not been sufficiently addressed by lawmakers at the state or federal levels. Ensuring all women have access to the tools, resources, and education they need to have influence and impact on the policies that affect their lives is crucial," said Gretchen Carlson, whose upcoming book, Be Fierce: Stop Harassment And Take Your Power Back (October 17, 2017) encourages women to take control of their lives by finding the strength and courage to overcome any tough obstacle they may face.

The grant from the Gift of Courage Fund will fund multi-day GCLI programming, including political advocacy workshops, non-partisan political discussion groups, and sessions that will educate participants on relevant government policies. Launching in November 2017, GCLI programs will take place in cities across the country, including Fort Worth, Texas; Jackson, Mississippi; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and more.
