Excelsior College and ProctorU announce online proctoring service for CourXam

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Oct. 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Excelsior College's Center for Educational Measurement announced today a partnership with ProctorU to deliver online proctoring services for CourXams, Excelsior's new and innovative educational product.

A CourXam is a combination of a self-paced digital college course and a college credit exam, and addresses the critical concerns of today's higher education students: portability, convenience and affordability. Through ProctorU Live proctoring, students will now be able to take exams from anywhere using only a computer, webcam and internet connection.

Under the agreement, Excelsior College will integrate ProctorU Live proctoring service into CourXam offerings, providing students the highest levels of online security and ultimate convenience. With live proctoring, a proctor guides a student through the identification verification process, assists with launching their exam and monitors exam administration via webcam. If any unusual or unpermitted behavior is observed during an exam, the proctor will intervene and Excelsior College will be notified at the end of the testing session.
