Cash 5 Jackpot of $125,000 Split in Armstrong, Lancaster Counties

MIDDLETOWN, Pa., Oct. 2, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Two winning Pennsylvania Lottery Cash 5 tickets sold in Armstrong and Lancaster counties split a $125,000 jackpot from the Friday, September 29, drawing. Both tickets matched all five balls drawn, 03-13-17-24-31, to each win $62,500, less applicable withholding.

Sprankle's Neighborhood Market, 117 3rd St., Leechburg, and Turkey Hill Minit Market, 298 W. Main St., Landisville, sold the winning tickets.

Winners can be identified only after the prizes are claimed and the tickets validated. Cash 5 winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.

Anyone holding a jackpot-winning Cash 5 ticket should promptly sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at the nearest Lottery office.

More than 24,100 other Cash 5 tickets won prizes of various amounts in the drawing. Players should check every ticket, every time. Lower-tier prizes may be claimed at Lottery retailers.

In the 2015-16 fiscal year, the Lottery awarded more than $14.4 million in prizes and contributed more than $7.5 million to senior benefit programs in Armstrong County. In addition to awarding more than $78 million in prizes to winners in Lancaster County, the Pennsylvania Lottery contributed more than $32.9 million to programs serving the county's older residents.

How to play Cash 5: Players pay $1 and select five numbers from 1 to 43. Players may choose specific numbers using a Cash 5 playslip, or opt for computer-selected quick picks. Players must match all five numbers drawn to win the jackpot. Players also win prizes for matching two, three or four winning numbers. Cash 5 drawings are held seven nights a week, and tickets can be purchased up to seven draws (one week) in advance. The chances of winning the jackpot prize are 1-in-962,598 and the overall chances of winning any prize are about 1-in-10.5.
