Willow Street Pictures Celebrates 15th Year Anniversary with Meet the Artist Event

READING, Pa., Sept. 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Willow Street Pictures is celebrating the 15-year anniversary on Sunday, October 1st, 2017 and in a rare moment, the studio will open its doors to the public and showcase the extraordinary artwork it has created. The entire creative team along with the artist, Regina Goins, will be celebrating their accomplishments at 2212 Penn Avenue, West Lawn PA 19609 from 12pm to 4pm.

Willow Street Pictures was founded in 2002 by Darren Modricker (https://willowstreetpictures.com/our-founder/) inside a renovated factory building in Reading, PA. For over a decade, the business was located in downtown Reading until 2011 when it purchased and moved to an old post office building in West Lawn, PA.

Darren Modricker, born in Lancaster, PA, started his career in photography in NYC. After more than a decade of working nonstop on photo shoots with high profile clients and traversing the far reaches of the globe, Darren had a health scare that gave him a new perspective on life.

While lying in a bed in the Reading Hospital he was concerned with what he would be leaving behind to his daughter who was 1 year of age. He asked himself for the first time what was his legacy going to be? It prompted him to search out an artist for his own family portrait, however he couldn't find work that inspired him. This experience changed his life and Darren turned his artistic vision toward building a fine art portrait studio in Reading, PA.

In 2011, after a complete demolition and renovation of the new space, Willow Street Pictures transformed an old post office into a high-end contemporary fine art studio. The new studio layout includes a full custom picture framing department, multiple galleries and all the amenities a client could want on a photo shoot.

As the Founder of Willow Street Pictures, Darren understood from the start that a single individual couldn't successfully handle it alone. He knew that his success hinged on hiring and retaining really smart people who shared the same passion.

It took a few years to find a person of complementary strengths that shared the same goal and vision. In 2013 he found the artist, Regina Goins and after 3 three years of mentoring and triumphing over the challenges together, it was clear that Regina was in it for the long haul.
