MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to welcome Gregory A. Fontaine and Aleava R. Sayre to the firm's Minneapolis office as partners in the Environmental, Land Use & Natural Resources group.

Fontaine's practice focuses on mining, minerals, and other heavy industries. Fontaine has represented clients ranging from Fortune 50 businesses to individuals, and with over 30 years of legal experience, is well-known and well-regarded among business leaders in the mining and environmental law community. His clients benefit from his expertise in mining law, environmental review, permitting, project development, land use, and a broad range of transactional matters.

Sayre focuses her practice on the areas of environmental and mining law with an emphasis on environmental review and permitting associated with project development and litigation. Both Fontaine and Sayre come to Stoel Rives from Stinson Leonard Street, where they were partners and co-chairs of that firm's mining practice. With decades of combined experience in mining and environmental law, the two attorneys have built a symbiotic practice that capitalizes on the strengths of each, to the benefit of their clients.
