MFDA amends hearing dates in the matter of Investia Financial Services Inc.
TORONTO, Sept. 25, 2017 /CNW/ - The Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada ("MFDA") commenced a disciplinary proceeding in respect of Investia Financial Services Inc. ("Respondent") by Notice of Hearing dated December 16, 2016 ("Notice of Hearing").
The hearing of this matter on its merits, originally scheduled to take place September 26-28, 2017, will now proceed on September 28, 2017, commencing at 10:00 a.m. (Eastern), or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, in the hearing room at the offices of the MFDA, located at 121 King Street West, Suite 1000, Toronto, Ontario. The proceeding will be open to the public, except as may be required for the protection of confidential matters.
The MFDA is the self-regulatory organization for Canadian mutual fund dealers, regulating the operations, standards of practice and business conduct of its Members and their approximately 83,000 Approved Persons with a mandate to protect investors and the public interest.
