LDJ Productions, Anvil Venture Partners Announce Relationship In Support Of 'LDJ | FUTURES' Accelerator

NEW YORK, Sept. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- LDJ Productions (LDJ), an innovator in global event management, production, technologies and creative services today announced a strategic partnership with Anvil Venture Partners (AVP) to facilitate ecosystem development around the newly launched LDJ | FUTURES accelerator and investment fund. LDJ | FUTURES and AVP's collaboration is synergistic with the AVP investment model, which provides seed capital, as well as innovation services and strategic partnership development services for its portfolio companies.

LDJ | FUTURES invests in solutions that amplify brand experiences for a diverse list of companies in the technology, fashion, beauty, finance, automotive and media industries. The accelerator offers early-stage companies access to revenue acceleration opportunities with Fortune-level corporations that are clients of LDJ Productions, not just nominal collaborators. LDJ | FUTURES will also provide workspace at 110 Leroy Street, mentorship and tailored workshops to participating startups, curating a community of like-minded entrepreneurs.

LDJ'S current client roster includes Automation Anywhere, L'Oréal, Reebok, Scripps Networks, Shiseido, The New York Times, ULTA, Viacom, Fairchild Media and Yahoo!. LDJ Productions is also the agency producers of WME/IMG New York Fashion Week.

Also announced today was the appointment of AVP Partner Garnet Heraman as Managing Director of Investments at LDJ | FUTURES. Garnet will work closely with LDJ CEO Laurie DeJong, and will focus on implementing the accelerator's investment strategy, related business processes and development.

"We are thrilled to welcome Garnet to the LDJ | Futures team, and are looking forward to utilizing his considerable skills and professional network to create lasting value for all parties involved," said Adam Cook, president & CFO at LDJ productions.

Mr. Heraman comes to the in-house project with more than 25 years of experience in ventures, innovation and strategy as an investor and an influencer. He also serves as an investor-in-residence at Hudson Valley Advanced Manufacturing Center, the original MakerBot Smart Lab. Mr. Heraman is a board member for numerous successful startups including: Candy Lab AR, Dynepic, iOKids, MetroButler and Biba Ventures.

"I'm very impressed by LDJ's commitment to lead by innovation in the highly competitive event management space, and excited to help establish the LDJ | FUTURES accelerator that will invest in new experiential technologies for the mainstream market," said Mr. Heraman.

Official selection for the inaugural LDJ | FUTURES class began on September 1. LDJ is currently reviewing applications from early-stage companies with potentially disruptive technologies in segments like AR/VR, indoor drones, AI-driven digital media and digital management of storage/rental items.

The selection process is two-tier: strategic and financial. Each successful LDJ | FUTURES cohort must first have a clear understanding of their product's strategic fit within LDJ's 100+ corporate clients, and then quantify the value of that value proposition when monetized. Once this requirement is satisfied, the accelerator team will analyze risks and rewards associated with the applicant company's management, product(s), market(s), customer(s) and competition.

LDJ | FUTURES is welcoming accredited investors growing their emerging technology portfolios by joining the flagship fund, and partners interested in taking advantage of a low-entry technology development pipeline. More information can be found at futuresnyc.com or by emailing [email protected].
