The 3Rs Horse Rescue Centre - Gatehouse of Fleet are Looking for Patrons and Fundraisers

The 3RsHorseRescueCentre.com is set overlooking the Solway Firth near Gatehouse of Fleet. The 3Rs is owned and run by Susan and Gordan, an equestrian loving couple local to the area who used their hard earned cash and amazing knowledge to help the gentle giants and took on a massive 225 acres estate so that they could save these beautiful creatures from harms way. Self funded by Susan and Gordon, they along with their children care of over 84 horses on site and what they do to rehabilitate these gentle giants is very impressive. Gordon and Susan have been involved with horses off and on for most of their lives and since getting together almost 10 years ago, began developing their own method for dealing with horse behaviour issues and helping owners gain confidence and build a better relationship with their equines.

The 3Rs Horse Rescue Centre not only provides a beautiful sanctuary for those in need of love and as horse enthusiasts and as owners themselves, they created the 3Rs Horse Rescue Centre. At the 3Rs, they not only provide a beautiful sanctuary for those in need of love and as horse enthusiasts needed to home to these beautiful horses where they could rescue them from danger. Most times these gentle giants have been unfairly treated and sometimes neglected by their owners. For others they provide their service to give your loving horse a home for life normally due to the owners retirement or incapacity, meaning that their owners simply are unable to provide the level of care that they need along with social interaction that they are used to and our horses are our babies and we would only give the best care to our children so why would our Studs & Mare's be any different.

The 3Rs Horse Rescue Centre is set over 225 acres of beautiful Scottish hillside above Auchenlairie, overlooking the idyllic Solway Firth. The horses can graze on amazing pastures and roam the hills safely and live amazing lives. All the horses can play till their hearts content, worry free with other horses and run like the mustang across the hills and pastures care free. They have our own arena and hacking grounds on site too so that not only can the horses live freely, but we can also be brought back to enjoying their lives and are introduced back to human touch and rebuild trust. They lunge the horses and give them time in the arena to thrive or even play a game of horse football overlooking the Solway looking all the way to the Isle of Man on a sunny day.

We Need You

With winter looming upon us, The 3Rs have applied to the charities commision for a charity status so they can provide every bit of care needed and that all cash raised through fundraising effort from our amazing local volunteers and local businesses.

If you have any spare time, you could use your amazing fundraising skills or perhaps your community status to help us spread awareness of the 3Rs nationwide.

We are looking for some amazing patrons and fundraisers to join our wall of fame and help us to make a difference and save these gentle giants. They receive no state funding whatsoever and are heavily dependent on the generosity of our visitors who leave donations at The 3Rs on our open days where we would love for you to meet our gentle giants and learn about these magnificent animals and along with our program too.
