DeepCell Industries Announces Notice Of Allowance For Crystal Fusion Patent By U.S. Patent Office, Next Evolution Of Ruby Cannabis Edibles

SEATTLE, Aug. 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- DeepCell Industriestm, the world's first cannabis intellectual property company, announces its Notice of Allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for their groundbreaking Crystal Fusiontm technology. The process infuses crystals such as sugar and salt with cannabinoid molecules, paving the way for flexible cannabis edibles.

"This technology allows us to infuse cannabinoids in sugar and salt, placing DeepCell in the rare air of companies in the cannabis industry who are filing patents. DeepCell believes cannabis is a green-field industry where patents and IP will become very valuable. Our business model aggressively pursues IP in high value areas," said Kelly Ogilvie, CEO of DeepCell. "By focusing on ingredients including sugar and salt, the world's most widely-used ingredients, we've simplified the process for businesses to innovate. We're proud to be driving tomorrow's cannabis technologies."

DeepCell utilizes psychoactive tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) which are two of the 113 active cannabinoids derived from cannabis and hemp. CBD is mild to non-intoxicating and has a range of therapeutic benefits.

DeepCell's newest cannabinoid crystal-based products, Ruby Gems and Ruby Plus, exemplify Crystal Fusion technology as a platform for innovation. Ruby Gems are chewable fruit snacks made with organic fruit infused with cannabis, and Ruby Plus contains THC and CBD. These products are vegan, fat-free, gluten-free and GMO-free, made with certified organic cane sugar providing both customers and wholesalers with a clean-tasting, flavor-neutral infused ingredient base. DeepCell products are available in 105 stores across Washington state, and will be available in California in late 2017.
