Quarter horse, rider sponsored by Oklahoma City dealership qualify for two world riding competitions

OKLAHOMA CITY, Aug. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- There's big news for Battison Honda in the horse world.  The dealership's very own Courtney Battison and Wimpys Little Nite qualified this year to compete in two prestigious equine competitions. Battison and Wimpys Little Nite earned a score of 73 in Reining at a competition held in Katy, Texas this last April, which earned them a spot at the FEI World Equestrian Games next year. The duo will also be competing this November at the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) World Championship Show in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Each of these events represents one of the premier competitions for horse aficionados.

Competitors at the AQHA World Championship Show must qualify by earning points in classes including halter, English and western disciplines. Entries come from many countries across the world. This event will be held November 2-18, 2017.

The FEI World Equestrian Games, which will be held in North Carolina in September 2018, represent the major international championship for equestrian. Participating countries send teams made up of top riders and horses in ten separate disciplines. In 2010, 57 countries were represented.

The successes of Battison and Wimpys Little Nite will hopefully continue at these outstanding championships.
