Compton & Wendler, P.C. Welcomes Accountant Lauren Walaszczyk

HOUSTON, Aug. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Compton & Wendler, P.C. is pleased to announce that certified public accountant Lauren Walaszczyk has joined the firm, where she will focus on forensic accounting and litigation support.

Ms. Walaszczyk comes to Compton & Wendler from Ernst & Young where she was a very highly regarded member of their commodities markets group.

Ms. Walaszczyk graduated with honors from Florida State University and the University of Notre Dame.  It was while working on her Master of Science in Accountancy at Notre Dame that Ms. Walaszczyk took an interest in forensic and litigation work.

"One of my favorite professors at Notre Dame had done the same kind of work for the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board," Ms. Walaszczyk said. In 2015, Ms. Walaszczyk scored among the top 10 on the Texas CPA exam. The Houston-area native is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
