Pennsylvania Medical Cannabis Industry to Kickoff at Inaugural Dinner


HARRISBURG, Pa., Aug. 9, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The Pennsylvania Medical Cannabis Society (PAMCS) will celebrate the official launch of the medical cannabis industry in the Commonwealth by hosting the Inaugural Industry Award Banquet at The Hotel Hershey on August 20, 2017.

The evening banquet will be the first time the Pennsylvania grower/processor and dispensary permit award winners gather under one roof. The historic and celebratory event will give these pioneering businesses an opportunity to meet each other and explore strategic product and service offerings, establishing a network that provides safe, reliable, and affordable medicine to qualified patients.

For more than two years, PAMCS has been fostering a model medical cannabis industry in Pennsylvania through education and leadership. Originally at the forefront of the legalization effort, the focus is now on building relationships and implementing exemplary standards, extraordinary products, and ethical practices.

The ceremony will take place at The Hotel Hershey, one of the finest Historic Hotels of America. Known for its refined elegance, signature service, and abundant amenities, The Hotel Hershey is a one-of-a-kind destination and the perfect location to launch the industry in Pennsylvania?centrally located just 90 minutes from Philadelphia, and 3 hours from Pittsburgh.

Guests of the banquet may spend the day golfing at the prestigious Hershey Country Club (limited tee times are available on a first come first serve basis). The evening gala will begin with a cocktail hour at 5:00pm, followed by a Crystal Award Ceremony recognizing all permit award winners, and dinner with special guest speakers.
