Government of Canada improves Uashat mak Mani-Utenam's school infrastructure


MALIOTENAM, QC, Aug. 3, 2017 /CNW/ - On a visit to the community of Uashat mak Mani-Utenam, the Honourable Diane Lebouthillier, Minister of National Revenue, on behalf of the Honourable Carolyn Bennett, Minister of Indigenous and Northern Affairs, announced investments totalling over $14 million for various infrastructure and housing projects. These investments contribute directly to the quality of life of the residents of Uashat mak Mani-Utenam.

Most of these investments will serve the community's youth, who will benefit from the expansion of three schools, the addition of a gymnasium and the development of a park. To support the community, investments will also be dedicated to the development of approximately 10 housing lots and infrastructure expansion that will allow for the eventual addition of 20 more.
