Evolve Cellular and Summit Tech announce partnership for RCS - Rich Communication Services

AUSTIN, TX and MONTREAL, Aug. 2, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Evolve Cellular Inc, a mobile network operator built for innovation, and Summit Tech, creators of new and disruptive communication technologies, announce their partnership and intention to unlock the door to Rich Communication Services for consumers, corporations, and developers in the United States.

Rich Communication Service (RCS), which relies upon Universal Profile (UP), is the global replacement for text messaging (SMS) but with a wide range of additional communication and multimedia capabilities. RCS is deployed with the joint support of industry standards body GSMA and over 70 other device manufacturers, operating system suppliers, and mobile network operators worldwide.
