PITTSBURGH, July 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- JDog Junk Removal & Hauling (JDog), a national franchise organization dedicated to providing business ownership opportunities to veterans and relatives of veterans, announced today plans to enter the Pittsburgh area. The brand is actively seeking franchise owners to open up to 10 locations, which will create nearly 100 jobs for local military veterans.

Based in Pennsylvania, JDog has already dominated the Philadelphia market through the presence of 16 successful franchises, which further validates the brand's ability to succeed moving into Pittsburgh. Strategic development in Pittsburgh is a key element in the brand's overall growth plan as it works toward its goal to open 75 new franchises by the end of the year. Last year, the franchise debuted in 20 new states, including Oklahoma, New York, Virginia, Colorado, Nevada and Georgia. The Pittsburgh market is ripe for development and has ideal demographics, making it the ultimate development market for JDog.

"JDog's franchise system is made up of a tightly-knit community of owners who want to join our brand because they see how passionate we are about providing business ownership and employment opportunities to veterans," said Jerry Flanagan, CEO and Founder of JDog. "We are searching for people in the Pittsburgh area who are looking to provide the same level of service to their community, while putting veterans to work."

At JDog, military values guide all operations: Respect, integrity and trust. The franchise opportunity offers a low barrier to entry, high profit margins, and simple-to-operate model with significant support from a team of veterans and experienced business executives.

JDog franchisees operate easily recognizable, camouflage vehicles and trailers, and recycles or repurposes a substantial amount of the collected material. The Philadelphia-based company works closely with local and national organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, and local schools, churches and hospitals to donate useful items to those in need.

In addition to offering business ownership opportunities to veterans, JDog has established an important partnership with the VA's therapeutic Veterans' employment program, Compensated Work Therapy (CWT), to provide additional work opportunities for veterans. The brand was also selected as a Veteran-Owned Small Business by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
