U.S. Gas & Electric Makes Substantial Donation to the Arbor Day Foundation

MIRAMAR, Fla., June 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Gas & Electric, Inc. ("USG&E"), a national retail energy supplier operating in eleven states and the District of Columbia, collected donations on Arbor Day in support of the Arbor Day Foundation and its mission: "We inspire people to plant, nurture, and celebrate trees." To support the efforts of the team and USG&E's continued dedication to environmental sustainability, the company matched 100% of all money raised by employees. In addition to the employee match, funds were donated for every in-house sale made on Arbor Day. The funds raised allowed the Arbor Day Foundation to plant 386 trees in national forests.

These efforts follow those in November 2016, when the company announced it had planted 180 trees in national forests on behalf of each and every employee. Besides its support of the Arbor Day Foundation, USG&E exhibits its environmental commitment through its suite of green product offerings, purchases of renewable energy for its headquarters and other green initiatives.
