"We are thrilled with this award and look forward to working with the Chilean Navy and ASMAR, the Chilean shipyard, as well as forging long term relationships with Chilean partners to deliver new capability to the Armada de Chile," said Rosemary Chapdelaine, vice president for Lockheed Martin Canada Rotary and Mission Systems.

Following an extensive worldwide competitive tender, this selection represents another major export sale of Lockheed Martin Canada's innovative Combat Management System, CMS 330. Chapdelaine added, "I am proud to say that our CMS 330 was developed in Canada by Canadians as a result of our 30-plus years of direct experience and knowledge of Canadian and NATO naval operations."

"I am delighted to learn of Lockheed Martin Canada's selection by the Armada de Chile. This means high value, sustained jobs in my riding and significant growth for Canadian industry overall," said Karen McCrimmon, Member of Parliament for Kanata-Carleton. "I had the opportunity to tour Lockheed Martin Canada's facility in Kanata, and saw firsthand the expansive manufacturing space ? cabinets and consoles for the company's combat management system built and assembled on site. I also had the opportunity to visit the IMPACT Centre, where exciting innovation and research and development work takes place. This selection is a testament to innovative Canadian technology, and the ingenuity and leadership that exists in Kanata."

CMS 330 and Lockheed Martin Canada's combat system integration capability are proving performance everyday on Canada's modernized HALIFAX class frigates and the record of success continues to generate international attention as an attractive solution for both new ships and mid-life upgrades. In 2014, Lockheed Martin Canada was selected as the prime systems integrator by the New Zealand Ministry of Defence for the ANZAC Frigate Systems Upgrade. The company was also selected as the command and surveillance integrator for Canada's new fleet of Arctic/Offshore Patrol Ships.

"Lockheed Martin Canada is an anchor employer in Halifax and Nova Scotia, and I am excited about the future work coming to Nova Scotia employees as a result of this latest export sale to Chile. The critical skills and expertise developed here in support of key naval programs positions us for continued economic growth. These valuable high tech jobs also attract top talent and offer exceptional opportunities for our local graduates," said Mike Savage, Mayor of Halifax.

The Armada de Chile selection now places Lockheed Martin Canada's CMS 330 on four classes of ships across three different navies. This latest export sale propels the company's growth strategy, validates its innovative and collaborative approach to naval combat systems integration, and adds tremendous value for future Canadian and international naval programs.
