Mining Association of BC Welcomes Bryan Cox as Incoming President & CEO


VANCOUVER, British Columbia, April 27, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Mining Association of British Columbia (?MABC? or the ?Association?) announces that Bryan Cox has been selected as the Association's Incoming President & CEO, effective May 1, 2017.

Mr. Cox joined MABC as Vice President of Corporate Affairs in 2014, bringing with him a wealth of experience in government relations, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement. Mr. Cox has been an invaluable member of the MABC team since his arrival and he has been a strong industry advocate on key policy matters related to the fiscal and regulatory regime in British Columbia. Bryan's collaborative and constructive approach will support MABC as it continues to work with governments, First Nations, communities and the public in ensuring mining remains an important economic driver for all British Columbians.

Prior to joining MABC, Bryan spent seven years in the brewing industry in progressively senior roles including Vice President, Western Canada at Canada's National Brewers, where he was responsible for managing the regulatory and public affairs agenda for Canada's largest brewers across the four western provinces. Bryan also spent several years with the Government of British Columbia in senior roles.
