U.S. Customs & Border Protection Extends East Coast Warehouse's Centralized Examination Station Contract in New Jersey

ELIZABETH, N.J., March 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- East Coast Warehouse & Distribution, a leading temperature-controlled logistics provider to the food and beverage industry, today announced that U.S. Customs & Border Protection has extended its Centralized Examination Station (CES) contract for another five years via its East Coast CES business. With its 14.5-acre exam and post-exam container service yard, East Coast Warehouse will continue to serve as the only comprehensive CES in New Jersey.

Located at 1140 Polaris Street, East Coast Warehouse is designated by CBP to perform the following exams via its East Coast CES business:

"This contract speaks to our dedicated and knowledgeable team, as well as our relationship with CBP, which has grown significantly over the last two decades," said Jamie Overley, CEO of East Coast Warehouse. "From recently awarding us a contract to expand our CES services to Philadelphia, to extending our work in New Jersey, we are honored by the trust CBP has in our company and we look forward to continuing our partnership."

East Coast Warehouse has more than 20 years of CES experience, and has served as the only comprehensive CES in New Jersey since 2012, when the company invested $8 million into its Customs Exam Center. The best-in-class facility was designed and engineered for exam speed and efficiency with the most non-intrusive inspections (NII) capacity in both New York and New Jersey. Additionally, East Coast Warehouse is the only CES site to offer a climate-controlled room to ensure that temperature integrity and cargo value is protected throughout a full strip AQI.
