Joins Canada's Leading Financial Institutions with SecureKey Conciergetm, Enabling Consumers to Securely Access Online Services

TORONTO, Feb. 23, 2017 /CNW/ - SecureKey Technologies, a leading provider of federated identity and authentication solutions is pleased to announce that Affinity Credit Union, one of Canada's leading credit unions, has reached an agreement with SecureKey to become a Trusted Sign-In Partner in the SecureKey Conciergetm service. The service is available to Affinity members today.

Affinity joins our impressive list of existing Sign-In Partners including BMO Bank of Montreal, CIBC, Choice Rewards MasterCard, Desjardins, National Bank, RBC Royal Bank, Scotiabank, Tangerine, TD, UNI Financial cooperation and L'Alliance des Caisses populaires de l'Ontario.

"We're excited to partner with SecureKey Technologies as a SecureKey Sign-In Partner," said Atul Varde, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Affinity Credit Union. "This will provide an enhanced experience for our members when they access e-government services and comes at the perfect time of year when many of our members will be using CRA's online services for their 2016 income tax preparation."

"Affinity's partnership and the continued growth of SecureKey Concierge is a testament to the value of empowering consumers with credentials they already have and trust," said Didier Serra, EVP, Sales & Marketing, SecureKey Technologies. "Affinity joined Canada's leading financial institutions in a movement to protect member's personal information, while providing convenient, easy access to online services by simply using their banking credentials."

SecureKey Conciergetm is delivered through a secure cloud service granting users access to critical online services via their familiar online banking sign-in process. This saves users the hassle of having to create yet another user ID and password to manage. While using their trusted credential from a Sign-In Partner to access online services, SecureKey Concierge ensures no passwords or personal information (name, date of birth, etc.) are shared or exchanged.

SecureKey Conciergetm has experienced a doubling of user credentials in each of the past two years and has become the market leading multi-tenant federated authentication platform. With SecureKey Conciergetm, Affinity members will be able to securely access online services, including those from the Government of Canada, using their existing Affinity online banking login IDs and passwords.
